Metro Detroit Newborn Photographer
the beginning of their story, told in photographs
Welcome to my Mount Clemens studio, where newborn sessions are designed to feel calm, safe, and completely unhurried. My approach focuses on capturing the tiny details and quiet connections that define those first days, from curled fingers to sleepy expressions, in a timeless and natural way.
The first weeks with a new baby move fast. My role is to slow things down and preserve this season exactly as it felt, so you never have to rely on memory alone.
If you’re looking for newborn photography in Metro Detroit that is gentle, intentional, and centered around your baby’s comfort, you’re in the right place.
With years of experience photographing newborns in a controlled studio environment, I am trained in safe posing techniques and always prioritize your baby’s comfort and safety.
What to expect from your newborn session
Newborn sessions take place in my Mount Clemens studio and are typically scheduled within the first two weeks after birth, when babies are naturally sleepier and more easily settled. Sessions are baby-led and allow plenty of time for feeding, soothing, and breaks whenever needed.
I provide everything required for your session, including carefully selected props, wraps, textures, and a client wardrobe for parents. You don’t need to bring a thing other than your baby.
Your baby’s safety is always my top priority. Every pose is done gently and naturally, with constant attention to comfort, warmth, and support. If a pose doesn’t feel right for your baby, we simply move on.
A relaxed experience for new parents
Those early days can feel overwhelming, and I want your session to be one of the easiest things on your calendar. My studio environment is warm, quiet, and intentionally paced so you can relax while I take care of the details.
Whether your baby sleeps the entire session or needs extra cuddles, you are never rushed. Some of the most meaningful images come from those in-between moments.
When to schedule your newborn session
Newborn sessions are reserved by your due date, not by a fixed calendar day. Because newborn sessions are limited each month, it’s best to reserve your due date during your second trimester to ensure availability. Booking early allows me to plan for your baby’s arrival while keeping my calendar flexible.
Once your baby is born, you’ll simply reach out and we will select the exact session date. Newborn photography typically takes place within the first three weeks of life, when babies are still sleepy and naturally curl into those soft, timeless poses. This timeline gives your family a chance to settle into parenthood, allows siblings time to adjust, and removes unnecessary pressure during those first few days at home.
This approach ensures your experience feels calm, organized, and completely centered around your baby’s needs.
The first days are fleeting, but the love is forever
