Newborn, Cake Smash, Maternity Photography

Some days I feel like a rock-star at my job as a Clawson newborn photographer. Now and then, my job is the one time I’m confident in my day. Sometimes, my days fall apart. But I always look back on a good session and find my confidence again. Today was one of those days. Ryleigh was such an amazing little human.

She was just itty bitty at 15 days old. A tiny little being of patience and cuteness. She spent a little time stretching and thinking about waking up when we first took her out to do parent poses. Dad’s hands were a little cold and she was considering not cooperating. But we lulled her back to sleep, and I don’t think she ever woke up again. As long as my little heater was blowing on her, she just turned into it and snoozed her session away. We got some adorable portraits of her with her parents, and some of her alone.

Mom wanted to stick to mostly pinks and neutrals. I tossed in a pretty starry gold setup for fun and just to change it up a little. But mostly we stuck to those pinks and creams/whites.

She was so perfectly foldable, she hardly batted an eye at even the round basket where she is truly folded in half! I had so much fun I could have kept her. And just like I felt like a rock-star, she was the true star. We knocked out two sets of parent posing (one in an outfit and one wrapped set), five props, and four table poses on two different colors. All in two hours!

Enjoy this amazing session, their parents picked amazing pictures out of their gallery. I can’t wait to see these up in their home! Looking for a Clawson newborn photographer? Reach out to me at the form on my website and let’s get designing your perfect newborn session.
