those first precious moments
I will never forget the day my babies were born. The nerves of making it to the hospital. The rush of delivery. Hearing their first cry, and the doctor announce “it’s a girl.” Getting to hold her for the first time. Hearing her breathe. Watching my husband hold our first born, I think it was the first time I ever saw him cry.
I want to capture those feelings in a timeless collection of photos for you to enjoy. At my Mount Clemens studio, we’ll capture their tiny clenched fists and their cute puckered lips in a gallery of joyful images.
Emma was in the studio recently, and I waited forever to finally meet her! A good client of mine contacted me to do a Macomb Newborn Session for her cousins new baby, who was born premature and wouldn't be able to come to the studio for a bit. It felt like forever,...
I first met Adelynn's mom as her maternity photographer. We got to talking about her twin boys at home, and the little girl they were expecting. I love hearing moms talk about their kids. About their unique personalities, the cute things they say and do. But my...

There is nothing like giving your first born a sibling. If you've been in this spot, its a time of loving more, sleeping less, probably crying, wondering what you did (LOL). As a Southeast Michigan Newborn Session Photographer, some of the hardest photos are those...
I get this question all the time. "What should we wear to our newborn session?". Inquiring minds want to know, so I'm going to help. I think no matter what I say here, it's really important to have a conversation with your photographer about their photography style,...
It feels so good to be back to my newborn photographer job after all these months on shut down. I'm honored that my first baby back in the studio made the drive to see me from Farmington Hills. Sara and I chat often via text message, and we shed some tears over the...
When Suzanne first contacted me to be Charlie's Macomb Newborn Photographer, she was a little nervous about booking her session. Charlie was already two weeks old. Suzanne hadn't decided until the last minute to move ahead. I'm so glad she reached out to me. There is...
When you come to the studio for your maternity session, we will talk about what to expect at your newborn session. And after you leave, I'll be sending along a prep guide that is full of good info to get you ready for your newborn session. First, outfits. Please don't...

frequently asked questions
How long does a newborn session last?
Every baby is different and I listen to the baby’s needs, so our session will flow with them. Most sessions last 2-3 hours. Some babies might sleep better, and their session could be faster. Some babies have tummy issues, or extra hungry, and theirs could be longer, but on average, plan to be at the studio 2-3 hours.
Should we bring outfits or props?
At this time, following the need for additional post COVID-19 precautions, I will not be allowing outside props into the studio. This includes lovies, outfits, headbands, etc. Rest assured, I have a studio full of gorgeous pieces to use during your session.
Do you travel to our home?
Who wants to clean their house just after having a baby, right? It can be so overwhelming to get rid of the clutter, no worries! I have a professional studio in downtown Mount Clemens where I do my sessions. I’ve spent a lot of time curating an amazing prop collection, as well as a variety of backdrops, wraps, and outfits. All newborn sessions are done at my studio. If you’d like a tour, I would love for you to come see the space, just send me a message.
complimentary maternity sessions
I would love to have you at the studio, let me show you around. Let’s get excited for your newborn session while celebrating the changes your body is going through.
All booked newborn sessions have the opportunity to book a complimentary mini maternity session at the studio. I suggest planning for it between 28-34 weeks. I have some wardrobe pieces at the studio you are welcome to use, and we can discuss options from your own closet, as well.
