2020 took a lot away from us. Socializing was a big part of our loss. I’ve known Ray since high school, and Erica shortly after. Our families have been friends for a lot of years. So it was nice to see them again, even if it was just to be their Shelby Township Family Photographer instead of hang out around the bonfire.

I can’t believe how much the kids have grown over the year, man, they just get cuter over the years!

We went to some of my favorite locations at Stoney Creek. Going into 2021, I’ve decided that I’m going to do as many of my family sessions at these spots as I can. I try to always accommodate clients and find a park that’s close to their home base, so kids don’t have to travel to much. At the same time, it’s just so nice to eliminate one variable in my sessions. Knowing what the light is like, where it leaks through trees in the most gorgeous way, and how to frame my clients perfectly. In a family session where I’m busy chasing kids and trying to get them to laugh and have fun, it’s nice to not have to worry about the beautiful lighting. So when you book your family session with me in 2021, plan to head to Stoney!

You can check out a different family session, at another favorite spot here. And a fun spot with tall pines that I did Liz and Zac’s Engagement session at here.

Enjoy some images from their session, when I got to be their Shelby Township Family Photographer!
