I have two options when it comes to newborn packages. Today we will focus on the petite session.

This is for baby only. So no sibling or parent poses are included in the petite session. This is a great session because we get to take our time and really let baby shine. All sessions are baby led. If they are happy and settled, we continue to cruise through. Baby needs to be asleep for most of my traditional posing. But if baby wants to be awake and alert, we can roll with that. Either by doing some wrapped poses or “expressions” poses as I like to call them.

For petite newborn sessions we usually work through my posing flow on one fabric backdrop color. Then we move on to props. In a petite session I usually hope for 2 props. This could be a bucket, a bowl, a bed, bench or a basket.

I always ask parents ahead of time what color schemes they’d like to see in their sessions. So about a week before your due date I send out a planning form. It comes with a ton of information on how to be best prepared for your session.

When you arrive at my studio, I will have everything ready for final approval, and we will begin our session!
