So Dawson came in today for his Northville newborn session. His session was actually a referral from another client, Sawyer. I always want to give my clients the best experience when they’re at the studio. And when Sawyer’s mom left, she immediately called her best friend, who was expecting a baby and told her to schedule her newborn session with me. She hadn’t even seen her photos yet!

I love their story, these two moms have been best friends for over 20 years. They’ve been through so much life together. And now they welcomed their first two babies within weeks of each other.

Dawson’s mom, Erika is a lifestyle photographer. We got to spend the few hours she was at the studio talking about the struggles of running a small business, and the joys that it brings to our life. I can always talk about photography, even if it’s not your passion.

He’s just the cutest little snuggle bug, he was so calm and peaceful. We got through so many setups, and he never even noticed he’d left home. I’ll admit, they really inflated my ego! I love so much when parents admire the work I do as we work through a session. I know that I spend hours studying and practicing my art. But listening to parents ooooooo and ahhhhh over setups, just makes my heart so happy.

Erika’s husband had to work, so she brought her mom to help her out. And Grandma loved the green bucket setups. She was sitting behind me and said ”oh gosh, how do you do that”. But really, some babies just make it so easy. And Dawson was one of those babies.

This was Dawson’s final gallery of amazing portraits from his Northville newborn session. I hope you enjoy! Thank you as always for visiting my blog, and being my biggest supporters. I love creating art for you to pass down to your kids.
