I spent my afternoon as Teddy’s Shelby Township newborn photographer and I’m sort of in love. I have all the heart eyes going for this little man.

Not only is he crazy cute. He was so calm and relaxed. Those first kids right? They get you to believe the whole parenting gig is easy, it’s the second baby that brings the crazy into the family.

I’ve been really loving this new workflow, we started with some wrapped parent photos, which I love so much as an addition to newborn sessions. And being wrapped up and warm helps baby get super sleepy.

Then we moved to some props, the wrapped basket, and I couldn’t resist breaking out my teal flokati. I really love this color on him. Teals have been a super popular color this year so far, and I’m here for it all. I love it, it’s even some of my wall colors at my house.

We moved into bucket posing, and toes out wrap. I love this toes out, especially putting moms wedding ring in their toes. It’s hard to picture how tiny newborn feet are, but when they hold something that fits on your finger, its such a great size reference.

Teddy crushed his table posing, and I got to use two of my new backdrops. I’m trying to refresh some color options for table poses, and these are beautiful. I love the texture of the blue material. I hope I can find it in other colors.

We ended with another set of parent posing, this time unwrapped, but we pooped him in an outfit. I love how curly he gets.

It was another record breaking session. I am loving these May babies, they are so calm and relaxed. It’s been a nice break from the babies that want to stay awake the entire time!
