Cake smash sessions are a fun and relaxed way to celebrate your baby’s first birthday. As a Metro Detroit cake smash photographer, I create simple, thoughtfully styled setups that keep the focus on your baby’s personality and expressions.
What’s Included in a Cake Smash Session
Cake smash sessions take place at my Mount Clemens, Michigan studio and are fully prepared before you arrive, so you can walk in and relax.
As a Metro Detroit cake smash photographer, I offer either a simple balloon garland or a custom themed setup. We’ll go over all of the details together once you’re ready to book your session.
There’s no need to bring anything with you. I provide the full setup, including balloons or props, as well as towels and washcloths for cleanup. I handle both the setup and the cleanup so you don’t have to worry about a thing.
I also work with a trusted baker who provides perfectly sized naked cakes designed specifically for cake smash sessions. If your child has allergies or you prefer to bring your own cake, you’re more than welcome to do so.
When to book your cake smash session
Ideally for planning, you are getting onto my schedule when baby is 10-11 months old. This leaves us time to make sure my creations match your vision. I can order or create backdrops and props with plenty of time without rushing my creative side.
