When Mila’s mom came to me wanting a boho fox cake smash I think I said “huh?” I swear, I love people’s creativity these days. Cake smash sessions have come a long way in the few years since they became popular. We started talking about her vision and what her first birthday party theme was.
Cut to a few days before the session. If you know me, you know I am a world class procrastinator. If I have something to craft for a session I promise I’m most likely up late the night before getting it done. So no suprise when I walked into a family birthday party with bags of florals and a birch branch and plopped myself on the floor of my moms house.
Lucky for me I come from a very crafty family. That includes an aunt who took some floral design classes in school. So we talked about the boho fox cake smash inspiration, and what my ultimate vision was. She set out to work. An just an hour or two later this beautiful floral wall piece was done. What would have taken me far longer she had done in no time. And it was so nice to visit with her while she worked.
