Fall season is here and the outdoor extended family sessions are in full swing. I do a good mix of immediate family and extended family sessions throughout summer. It’s a great way to get some fun group photos when the whole family is together.
If you’ve never met Trish before, she is my studio partner, and owner of Trisha Lyn Photography
I’ve truly enjoyed the past 3 years of sharing our Mt Clemens studio. She has the greatest personality and we work so well together. We jokingly call her the black cloud of the studio, for some reason, things always go squiggly when she orders stuff for the studio. I don’t know where I’d be without the support of my little storm cloud! Our businesses are very similar, newborns, milestones, maternity, family. So it’s fun to get out and work together in the great outdoors.
For their extended family session we went to their family home near Shelby Twp. They have a beautiful house that backs up to a park and gives them a great sprawling backyard.
So many families ask if they can bring their 4 legged kids to their family session. My answer is absolutely! However, you might want to bring a friend to hold their leash when we don’t need them for photos. I would feel awful if they saw a squirrel and took off running! It’s always nice to have an extra set of hands that won’t be in photos to help hold them.
Trish’s parents brought her “brother” to their session. Louis was a perfect old gentleman. Trish told me that he is their favorite kid. I detect a little sibling rivalry.
Enjoy these photos from their Shelby Twp Extended Family Session!
What a beautiful family!!! Your ability to bring out the natural beauty and connection of people is unmatched!
I really love extended family sessions. I think it is so important and this year has really opened my eyes on jus how important they are! And can we talk the dog. Love that he was included!
