When Kayleigh approached me to do a best friends session for Gina, as a birthday gift I was nervous and excited. I’d seen a few online in photography groups but never photographed my own best friends session. We immediately got to planning.
We wanted to really encompass the energy of two young best friends. What else would you do on a girls night, Target run of course! I’m so grateful that the Target management was easy to work with. As long as we weren’t disruptive or photographing other patrons they were ok with us using them as a location. We had so much fun, Target just makes you smile doesn’t it?
Kayleigh just got an adorable new Jeep, so we grabbed a few photos in the parking lot before dashing to our next location. The pizza smelled soooooo good in the backseat, I might have snuck a piece while they weren’t looking.
We followed Target up with pizza at Stoney Creek Metro park. We had to dodge some more rain drops, but what else is new in Michigan. We ran around in the crummy weather we got and had fun anyway! In the end we made the best of a night, and I really enjoyed hanging out with these two. The three of us spent most of our time at the nature center in Stoney because I wanted the wide backdrop, since it was so overcast. Today was not the day I was seeking shelter from the sun.
I couldn’t wait to get home, and tell my bestie we needed to do a best friends session soon too!
