Metro Detroit Maternity Photographer
Capturing the Beauty of Motherhood
I understand that pregnancy is a unique and beautiful journey. As a valued client, you can expect a personalized experience tailored to celebrate this special time in your life. From the moment you book your consultation, I will guide you through every step, ensuring your comfort and satisfaction.
A Thoughtful, Experienced Approach to Maternity Photography
Pregnancy is a season filled with change, emotion, and anticipation, and photographing it well takes more than a beautiful dress or a good camera. As a Metro Detroit maternity photographer, I focus on gentle posing, natural movement, and flattering angles that highlight your shape while keeping you comfortable.
Every session is guided and relaxed. You’ll never be left wondering what to do with your hands or how to stand. I’ll walk you through each pose while paying close attention to comfort, posture, and subtle details that make a photograph feel effortless and timeless.
What to Expect During Your Maternity Session
Maternity sessions are designed to feel calm, unhurried, and supportive. Sessions can take place either in my Mount Clemens studio or outdoors at a thoughtfully chosen location, with lighting, wardrobe, and pacing all carefully planned to create a relaxed experience.
We’ll move at a comfortable pace, allowing time for outfit changes, rest, and adjustments as needed. Whether this is your first pregnancy or your last, the experience is tailored to how you’re feeling that day.
Wardrobe & Styling Guidance
Styling plays a significant role in how maternity portraits feel. I offer guidance on what photographs best, from soft neutrals to fitted silhouettes that highlight your bump without overwhelming it.
Clients are welcome to bring their own outfits or take advantage of studio wardrobe options. Before your session, I’ll help you plan pieces that complement your body, skin tone, and the overall aesthetic you’re drawn to, so nothing feels last-minute or stressful.
When to Schedule Your Maternity Session
Maternity sessions are typically scheduled between 28 and 34 weeks, when your bump is beautifully defined and you’re still feeling relatively comfortable. This window allows for flexibility while ensuring you’re not feeling rushed or exhausted.
Booking earlier in your pregnancy helps secure availability and allows time to plan wardrobe, styling, and session details with intention.
