Ava came in for her Grosse Pointe Shores newborn session, and while she looks adorable and sweet, she’s quite the little firecracker.  I can say that because I’ve known her mom for many years.  She has her work cut out for her with this little one!

She came in wide awake, which should have been my first sign.  I did a quick potato wrap to get her settled in and ready to work.  I started my usual workflow, she knocked out pretty quick for me.  Dad dropped in for their first family photo, and then had to head back to work.

We even got to incorporate some fun fall colors.  I’m not ready for fall yet, but I think it’s coming in whether I’m ready or not.

Since Ava decided she wasn’t going to sleep for me, we spent our time together doing some “mug shots”.  I captured some cute expressions, and I know parents love these eyes open photographs!

I always preach that I firmly believe babies will tell us when they are done.  And Ava just didn’t want to be posed anymore.  She was ready for a day of mom snuggles.  So I sent her home, and I’m hoping she will come back to visit for an hour next week so I can grab a few table poses.  Come back to find out how it went!  These Virgo babies are tough clients!

Enjoy the adorable images that I did catch in this Grosse Pointe Shores newborn session. Make sure to check out her mom’s studio maternity session!
