I don’t really have the words to describe how important this session feels for me, being present for Declan’s St Clair Shores newborn photography session was such a special moment. I have had a jam packed schedule the last few months. But when Declan’s mom called to tell me that she had a one week old at home, and she needed newborn photos. I felt a connection and I knew I’d squeeze her in. I had an opening about a week later, I sent her the information and we booked it immediately.
When they arrived and I picked sweet little Declan up for the first time, he was just so at peace. His mom said he just loves to be snuggled up on their chest. Which sometimes is the famous last words that will jinx a session so fast.
But Declan just slept. He slept, and he slept. This session set a record I’m nearly positive. We were in an out in just under an hour and a half. We accomplished so much, you’ll see his St Clair Shores newborn photography final gallery below. Each image is just beautiful.
While I posed him, I had the honor of hearing the journey of Declan’s arrival. His mom told me of years of struggle, and heartache. It was such a beautiful story to listen to, one of strength and love, and determination. And the reward in the end was so great. They had their beautiful little boy to snuggle every second.
When they walked out of my studio after the session, I could barely contain my excitement to edit his photos. I knew I would be delivering a beautiful gallery that they’re going to cherish for years to come.
