As a St Clair Maternity photographer, it is my privilege and honor to photograph you, and hear your story. I’ve had some amazing clients over the years, and some have become dear friends. Before her maternity session at the studio, I’ve chatted for a few months with Ilona. I’ve heard her story of loss, and comeback. Sometimes I feel like the most important person because you trust me with your history.

Sometimes a client is blessed with an easy road to expanding their family. Through social media I’ve watched clients struggle with loss, IVF, adoption, and more. Getting to photograph those babies that you have waited for, longed for, and prayed for, is such an absolute blessing.

But our journey starts at the maternity session. I’ve worked so hard at my career over the last 10 years. Starting from nothing, and building my business up to what it is today has been a long hard road. But when a mom comes in and feels immediately relaxed at my studio is a great feeling. It’s probably going to be messy when you get here, I blame it on the artistic side of my brain. It’s chaos in there. But it’s my second home, it’s beautiful and full of exciting things for your sessions. I hope when you book your newborn session with me you’ll add on a studio maternity session as well.

Ilona told me all about her son at home, Sebastian. Sounds like he’s working hard to keep her on her toes. As a busy little 2 year old he’s causing her all kinds of trouble. What a boy! He is the apple of her eye though. Ilona and her husband lost their first baby during pregnancy. So Sebastian brings them such joy around heartache.

I am excited to meet their new little girl arriving soon. She will be brining a rainbow train. As part of a traveling rainbow group, I’m excited to produce art that is important and meaningful for her.
