Sweet little Jamison and all his adorable blonde hair came to visit me at the studio for his Macomb Michigan Newborn Photography Session.
Jamison comes to me with a unique story. A baby known as a “rainbow baby”, is often born after the loss of a baby. Jamison has a big brother who has earned his wings. And when I met his mom at her studio maternity session, she told me she would be bringing some mementos of his big brother in heaven. They brought in a teddy bear that is the actual weight of his brother when he passed. I’d not heard of that before, and thought what a special bear to have for him to bond with his big brother.
We used a few other rainbow themed ideas, including a rainbow wrap, and some rainbow hearts. Mom actually brought the wrap with her to her maternity session as well. It was so cool to tie his newborn session into her maternity session with a similar look. All together, rainbow babies aren’t at the studio often and it was fun to do something unique!
Mom told me that his room was decorated with an elephant theme. So I had to stretch my Photoshop skills and give him a gorgeous portrait of Jamison snuggling on of those giant majestic animals. It is one of the toughest composites I’ve done to date, but I really felt like the end result exceeded my hopes for it.
