This gorgeous woman was in today for her Lake Angelus studio maternity session. She walked in in this stunning green dress and kimono. I wish I had just a smidge of style that you moms come in with. Her outfit was amazing, and I couldn’t wait to photograph her in it.
I always suggest bringing multiple options for your maternity session. Having a few different looks to choose from is ideal. Sometimes it’s a dress, a pair of jeans we can leave unbuttoned and a fitted t shirt. A soft nighty, a bra and underwear with a layer over it.
When considering your maternity session wardrobe, first think about what your comfort level is on showing skin. Do you prefer to be fully covered? Want some naked belly photos? Do you want to lean more into a sexy feel? It’s completely up to you.
As always I have a growing collection of dresses for you at the studio. You are welcome to go through those at your session. In my collection I also have a couple shawls, and bodysuits to offer variety.
I can’t wait to meet Lauren’s little boy at their newborn session. They are expecting a little girl this pregnancy. She was telling me that he’s got a new little cousin to love on and he’s been great with the baby. He has a little doll he’s been able to nurture, she’s hoping all the prep work helps when their family expands.
