Recently we had Emma’s First Birthday Celebration at the studio, and she came in ready to tackle her cake! I love watching my tiny newborn clients get so big. Their first year marks so many cool adventures. SO many firsts. They change so much, and develop their own individual personalities.

Emma brought in her Pooh Bear that also came with her at her newborn session. It was so sweet to photograph them together again. She snuggled and hugged him. It was obvious she loves that sweet yellow bear.

Her mom, Erica, had requested a winter ONE-derland theme. So we decked the studio out in snow and snowflakes. I just love this winter backdrop from Fancy Fabric & Props. It really pulled her vision together and created the sweetest setup. Her birthday invitations were a mix of snowflakes and flowers. I used that inspiration to bring in some matching poinsettias to boost the holiday cheer.

Sweet little Emma dove right into her cake. She even got her toes involved. The more frosting the better. I think my favorite photos are the ones of her with frosting all over her face. It’s such a cute representation of how much fun she was having.
