Maternity
Connect with the life growing inside of you as we document those last few weeks before you welcome your little one into the world.
growing a life is an amazing journey
Forty weeks feels like an eternity. Ten months of anticipation, excitement, nerves, morning sickness, food aversion, swollen ankles and fingers. Sometimes it’s hard to get beyond that immediate discomfort of pregnancy and remember that your body is doing incredible things.
I like to think I take a unique approach to my maternity sessions. The goal for me, isn’t to have you looking at me and smiling. I’m not looking for a connection between you and my camera. I want to find the connection between you and the life your body is growing. The anticipation of welcoming your new baby can feel overwhelming. For a short period of time, I want to wipe away the stress that comes with carrying a new baby, and focus on you and how amazing you are.
I want to celebrate you…
Royal Oak Studio Maternity | Christine
When Christine walked in for her Royal Oak studio maternity session I knew exactly who’s sister she was. I may be terrible at remembering names. Even moments after you tell me it. But I’m pretty decent at faces. Now I might look at you and wonder, how do I know you?...
Cranbrook Maternity Session | Melissa
A Cranbrook maternity session has been on my bucket list for some time. But historically speaking they were a big no, they just didn't allow professional photographers on the grounds. Over the years I've had so many clients want to go there. I didn't think it would...
Grosse Pointe Shores Maternity | Theresa
This beautiful mama just glowed for her Grosse Pointe Shores maternity session. I’ve known Theresa for many years, she is a teacher at my kids elementary school. She’s just the kindest soul. I can’t even count the number of times I’ve vented to her about kids, school,...
Lake Angelus studio maternity | Lauren
This gorgeous woman was in today for her Lake Angelus studio maternity session. She walked in in this stunning green dress and kimono. I wish I had just a smidge of style that you moms come in with. Her outfit was amazing, and I couldn't wait to photograph her in it....
Maternity Session in a River | Sara

Shelby Twp Maternity | Ani
This beautiful glowing mama was at my studio for her Shelby Twp maternity session today. She brought her own dresses in with her and I loved her choices. They were sweet and simple, and one was even sheer on the bottom, which makes for stunning silhouettes. I have...

Auburn Hills Newborn Photographer | Gianna
Today, being an Auburn Hills Newborn Photographer brings me this sweet little trio of kids. Two big brothers and their new baby sister. Did you grow up with siblings close in age? Mine are a decade older than I am (they're going to hate me for saying that!). But I...
Photographing a younger sibling | Landon
There is nothing, and I mean nothing, that makes me smile more than photographing a younger sibling of a past newborn. When mom and dad told me they'd welcomed another baby boy to their family, I was so excited to meet them. And to see his big brother Logan that I'd...
